Fees and Policies

Tuition

Unless otherwise noted, each 10-week session meets for two hours once a week. Tuition is $340 and includes clay, colored slips for decorating, and glazes.

Additional Fees

Toolkits: Basic tool kit costs $18. We also carry a selection of individual tools.

Firing fees: 4 cents per cubic inch (a mug costs about $1.25); 6 cents if any dimension is 12 inches or larger.

Benchtime: $4/hour (see "Benchtime" below for more information).

We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Refunds

Winter 2012 Semester: Cancellations before 1/3/12 will be fully refunded minus a $40 cancellation fee. Between 1/3 and 1/8/12 , students will be refunded $275. No refunds after 1/9/12 1. Tuition may not be carried over or transferred.

Missed Classes

Missed classes will be compensated with three hours of free Benchtime. This make-up time must be used by the end of the current semester; it will not carry over to the next semester.

Benchtime

Benchtime is practice time in the studio for registered students only. It's very informal: just come in, sign in and get to work. No need to call ahead. The fee is $4/hour. If you miss a class, you get 3 free hours of benchtime as make-up.

Attack of the Space Invaders

Please take your work home promptly and enjoy it! Due to very limited storage space, all shelves are cleared for the start of each semester. If you will not be returning to class, please pick up your finished work, bisque, and/or tools before the start of the next semester.

Unclaimed work will be discarded.
